We're looking for a Merchandising Team Leader based in the Cannock area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working in a range of high street retailers on behalf of exciting household name brands. We work across categories including: Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys.
You'll be supervising and training your team to ensure they deliver excellent service for our clients and meet all measures and deadlines. Merchandising tasks include setting up Point of Sale displays, checking stock levels, and replenishing fixtures. Every day is different and rewarding! About the role:
The ideal recruitment area is Cannock, with the full responsibility covering Cannock to Birmingham and areas in-between.
The contracted hours are 30 per week. You will conduct supervisory tasks for 12 hours per week at a rate of £12.70 and client merchandising tasks for 18 hours per week at a rate of £12.21.
* Supervising: You'll support the coordination of the merchandising schedule for merchandisers in your area. You'll coach and train colleagues on merchandising principles and processes to ensure high-quality service.
* Compliance and Standards: You'll act as a compliance champion, ensuring adherence to merchandising standards, store policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines. You'll follow and implement planograms to maintain consistency and compliance.
* Product Placement and Replenishment: You'll organize products on shelves and displays to maximize visibility and appeal.
* Promotional and Point of Sale Setup: You'll set up promotional displays and signage to communicate prices, discounts, and offers effectively.
* Communication and Relationship Building: You'll build and maintain good relationships with in-store colleagues, especially store managers, and provide timely feedback to our client teams via our feedback application.
What makes you excellent:
* Willing to travel across the designated area
* Full UK driving license and access to a suitable car for business purposes
* Comfortable with manual handling tasks
* Experience in retail merchandising, retail, and/or customer service
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently within set timeframes and use initiative to solve problems
* Pride in delivering high standards and service
* Experience supervising, training, or coaching colleagues is a plus
* Willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items (additional pay applies)
* Confident using a company tablet for downloading briefs, taking photos, and answering questions about tasks
