HLTA - Primary School (Milton Keynes)

Location: Milton Keynes

Qualification Required: HLTA Status or equivalent experience

Contract Type: Full-time

Start Date: September 2025

Are you the calm in the chaos, the champion of small wins, and the undercover agent that keeps the classroom running smoothly? Do you love leading learning one moment and diving into a craft explosion or science experiment the next? If you've got the skills of a teacher, the flexibility of a TA, and the heart of both-this role is calling your name.

Aspire People is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes seeking a confident, skilled HLTA to join their team from September 2025. Whether you're a qualified HLTA or an experienced TA ready for the next step, this role offers the chance to lead, support, and inspire young learners across the school.

About The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Provide targeted classroom support across Key Stage 1 and/or 2
* Take responsibility for leading small group interventions and occasionally delivering whole-class lessons under teacher direction
* Support teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment activities
* Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive
* Use initiative to manage behaviour, support learning, and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support academic and social development
* Uphold school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

The Ideal Candidate Will

* Hold HLTA status or demonstrate equivalent experience and readiness to lead learning
* Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for working with children
* Be proactive, adaptable, and confident managing classroom responsibilities
* Be committed to supporting pupil wellbeing and progress, both academically and socially
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work well within a team
* Be resilient, positive, and ready to make a meaningful contribution to school life

Why Apply?

* Be part of a supportive, nurturing school where every staff member is valued
* Enjoy a varied and rewarding role that offers real responsibility and progression
* Work alongside dedicated teachers and leaders who are passionate about inclusion and learning
* Access professional development opportunities through Aspire People
* Make a genuine impact in a school that celebrates every child's unique potential

If you're ready to step into a role where your initiative, creativity, and care make a lasting difference, we'd love to hear from you.
