SEND Lead – Secondary School – Walsall
A secondary school in Walsall is seeking an experienced SEND Lead to oversee and manage its Special Educational Needs provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and organised individual to take a leading role in ensuring students with additional needs receive the support, guidance, and resources they require to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day SEND provision within the school
* Leading and supporting a team of teaching assistants and support staff
* Delivering and overseeing targeted interventions for students with additional needs
* Monitoring and evaluating the impact of SEND support across the school
* Liaising with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students
* Supporting staff with strategies and training to meet the needs of SEND students
* Ensuring all statutory requirements and policies related to SEND are met
The ideal candidate will have
* Experience working with secondary-aged students with a range of SEND needs
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
* Excellent knowledge of SEND legislation, strategies, and best practice
* The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
* A proactive, solution-focused approach with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
