Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected law firm in Beverley for a Legal Secretary to join their busy team on a permanent basis.
Title: Legal Secretary (Litigation)
Location: Beverley – Office Based
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum DOE
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners.
* Prepare, format, amend, and maintain legal documents, correspondence, and case files.
* Manage solicitors' diaries, arrange appointments, and coordinate meetings.
* Assist with billing, invoicing, and time recording processes.
* Support the onboarding of new clients, including AML and compliance checks.
* Liaise with clients professionally via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
* Maintain accurate filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
* Always handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
* Undertake document management, scanning, filing, and database updates.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations and internal firm procedures.
* Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
About you
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Legal Secretary.
* Previous Litigation experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent typing and Microsoft Office skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
* Comfortable working independently as well as part of a busy team.
* Knowledge of legal processes, compliance requirements, and client care standards.
