Job Advertisement: Children's Residential Mental Health Support Worker Location: Friday Bridge, Wisbech Shift Patterns: 8:00 PM - 8:30 AM (Night Shift) £14.94 or 8am-8:30pm £12.69 Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? Do you have the resilience, compassion, and dedication needed to support children with mental health needs in a residential setting? If so, we want to hear from you! About the Role: As a Children's Residential Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing emotional, social, and practical support to children and young people with mental health needs in a nurturing and safe environment. You will work as part of a dynamic team to promote positive outcomes and help the young people develop essential life skills. Responsibilities Include: Providing one-to-one and group support to children and young people. Supporting daily routines, including bedtime, personal care, and activities. Helping young people manage their emotions and behaviours effectively. Promoting a safe and caring environment. Recording and reporting on the progress and well-being of the children. Collaborating with team members, families, and external professionals. What We're Looking For: A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting young people. Experience working in residential care, mental health, or a similar field (preferred but not essential). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
