The role of Technical Lead (DV Security Clearance) within CGI's Space, Defence, and Intelligence business unit focuses on delivering cutting‑edge technical solutions to complex challenges faced by government agencies.

Due to the highly secure nature of the project, this role is open only to UK Nationals who hold or are eligible for HMG High‑Level Clearance (HLC). Some flexibility for remote or hybrid work is possible, but onsite attendance at the specified location(s) is required for secure system access.
Your future duties and responsibilities include:
* Help set technical direction and provide leadership for highly motivated development teams.
* Engage with groundbreaking technologies in a dynamic environment, ensuring continuous learning and development.
* Work on leading‑edge and bespoke technologies, keeping knowledge and skills current.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
* Experience of building, leading, and mentoring development teams.
* Comprehensive experience developing with modern languages (Java, Go, Python, etc.) to a common standard.
* Experience of public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code principles.
* Ability to translate user requirements into technical requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients, CGI management, and software engineers.
* Experience of system testing and automated testing (unit tests, integration tests, mocking/stubbing).
* Experience using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift as a deployment platform and day‑to‑day development environment.
* Good understanding of and experience with modern DevOps methodology and technologies.
* Experience of automation/configuration management (e.g. Ansible).
* Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
* Experience with continuous integration & analysis systems (e.g. Jenkins, SonarQube).
* Ability to use a wide variety of open‑source technologies.
* Ability to write, review, and assure technical documentation (LLDs, user guides, release notes, etc.).
* Experience with a wide variety of technologies and enthusiasm to learn new ones quickly.
Desirable skills:
* Experience of systems engineering and systems integration.
* Experience contributing to bids/proposals.
* Front‑end development expertise with JavaScript and the REACT/MaterialUI framework.
