The business is experiencing steady growth and is now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their dynamic commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive SME contractor delivering a wide range of projects valued between £25,000 and £1 million — from infrastructure to refurbishment works
The Role – Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you’ll gain hands-on experience across both commercial management and estimating functions, working closely with senior team members to support the successful delivery of projects from tender to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and quotations for projects
* Assist with subcontractor and supplier enquiries, pricing, and procurement
* Support measurement, valuation, and cost control of works on-site
* Assist with cost reporting and project forecasting
* Contribute to tender submissions and commercial documentation
This role offers exposure to all aspects of the commercial lifecycle, giving you the opportunity to develop both your quantity surveying and estimating skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who’s eager to grow their career in civil engineering and construction.
Essential Criteria:
* 1–2 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimating role
* Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering (HNC, degree, or equivalent) preferred
* Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
* Proactive attitude with the ability to work as part of a close-knit team
