The Opportunity
Lead a team focusing on large-scale energy and utility projects, providing expert legal guidance on property-related matters within the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
Your caseload will include
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property agreements such as leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, and land acquisition documents.
* Advising on land rights and title issues, including due diligence and resolving title defects.
* Supporting land assembly for major utility projects like grid upgrades and pipeline installations.
* Managing land access and securing third-party rights for infrastructure development.
* Negotiating infrastructure agreements and land access strategies for energy and utility clients.
* Leading legal project management to support the delivery of key mandates.
* Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a qualified solicitor with strong experience in commercial real estate law, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sectors.
Key requirements include
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
* Strong experience in commercial real estate law with a focus on utilities or infrastructure sectors.
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
* Knowledge of statutory undertaker rights and land law.
* Experience working with public sector bodies or regulated industries.
* Leadership experience with a focus on mentoring and team development.
* A strategic, client‑facing approach to legal services.
