Within the assessment market we are experts in online exam testing, marking, and educational data analysis, partnering with government ministries, exam boards and professional awarding bodies for high‑stakes assessment such as GCSEs, A‑Levels and professional qualifications.


Job Purpose

As a Strategic Partnership Solution Consultant at RM, you will define and present compelling partnership options that enable RM to secure major deals globally. Working with the Strategic Major Deals Architect and Director, you will review each major deal, assess where strategic partnerships can enhance the solution, and design partnership solutions that align with market priorities. Your goal is to broaden RM’s growth options, significantly increase revenue potential, and create world‑leading solutions through strategic collaborations.


Responsibilities

* Identify and develop partnership opportunities that support RM’s major deal growth globally.
* Use market knowledge and networks to source strategic partners that fill capability gaps.
* Evaluate potential partners on capability, regional reach, reputation, and fit with RM’s portfolio.
* Create partner profiles and manage the partner approval process.
* Design and execute partner programs, sales strategies, and incentive structures to drive engagement and revenue.
* Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and trend monitoring to identify new growth markets.
* Lead partner demonstrations, proposals, and tender responses to demonstrate value to customers.
* Manage contract negotiations, compliance, and onboarding of partners.
* Travel within the UK and internationally to support partnership development.


Qualifications

The Strategic Partnership Solution Consultant will be an excellent communicator both written and oral, experienced in preparing high‑quality proposals and tender responses for software solutions. They will be a confident presenter, able to demonstrate RM propositions to prospects, existing customers, and industry stakeholders.

Additional requirements:

* Experience working in a software development and service delivery organisation.
* Demonstrable ability to be a supportive team player.
* Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
* Flexibility and adaptability.


Key Relationships

* Strategic Major Deals Architect (Business Growth) – collaborate on customer and market needs.
* Product and Technical Managers – influence product roadmap and deliverables.
* Customer Relationship Managers, Account Directors – support development of existing accounts.
* International Business Development Team – collaborate on prospect and tender opportunities.
* Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Business Analysts – define effective solutions.
* Global Operations – align on deliverables, timetables, commitments, and costs.
