Enjoy the outdoors? Love getting dirty? Come grow with us
We get by with a little help from our friends…
Every single one of our volunteers helps us provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon who are impacted by a life limiting illness. We really value the time all our volunteers give to us and you will be making a real difference to our patients and their families at their most vulnerable time.
Our gardens are vital for the wellbeing of our patient's staff and visitors. We are looking for someone to support the hospice by volunteering a few hours a week to maintain the garden and grounds at our Outreach centre, The Long House in Holsworthy.
Tasks such as cutting the grass, watering & feeding plants, weeding, deadheading, cutting back, digging over and maintaining the tools and equipment in the garden maintenance shed.
For an informal chat about the role please contact the Head of Facilities, Laura Holt, on
Closing date is 03rd October 2025.
It is important that the people who work for and with us, or access any of our services, can be themselves and are valued as unique individuals. We welcome applications from all sections of the communities we serve, reflecting the uniqueness of each person, with the aim of continually improving our services.
We are a forces-friendly organisation and welcome applications from Veterans and Service spouses and partners.
