Senior Game Designer (Systems)

Role overview
* Take a key role in driving an excellent, robust player experience with a cross discipline team of extremely skilled developers
* Work closely with the Lead Game Designer (Systems) to realise the game vision.
* Design, prototype, communicate and champion a wide range of game features with a particular focus on systems.
* Workstyle – hybrid or fully studio based.

Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with all disciplines on a variety of game features
* Work closely with Technical Design and Gamecode team to take features through the development process from prototype to final quality.
* Turn high level vision direction into workable designs that support a great player experience and work holistically with other elements of the game.
* Help facilitate finding solutions for feature implementation by being an approachable conduit between all disciplines involved.
* Ensure designs are effectively communicated and documentation is kept up to date.
* Balance and fine tune core game systems based on iterative feedback with an eye for detail, driving quality of game features to the highest standard.
* Proactively identify and work with production to track issues and potential improvements to the features you are working on, including addressing user feedback.
* Support the project design principles and studio design philosophies.
Requirements
* Ability to work well collaboratively with other areas of design and with a cross discipline team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Significant experience working in a game design role at an intermediate or senior level
* Experience working on at least one AAA game
* A deep understanding of systemic game design
* Ability to pitch features and own content.
* A champion of efficient design
Desirable
* Experience working on games which feature first person, Action RPG and/or melee combat.
* Experience working on games with multiplayer Co-op features.
* Working Knowledge of UE 4/5
* Experience mentoring other designers.
