Your Role
As a Finning Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Responding to customer field repair and service requests, providing detailed diagnostics and solutions.
* Estimating arrival times based on job instructions and customer needs.
* Communicating with site management to ensure compliance with customer procedures.
* Diagnosing equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborating with customer operators.
* Identifying and requisitioning necessary parts for repairs.
* Performing repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A valid LDV driving license.
* Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and significant experience as a service engineer.
* Experience with gas and diesel engines, including both LV and HV generators.
* Knowledge of field-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components.
* Familiarity with Caterpillar large engines (e.g., 3400, 3500, 3600 series) and other brands like MWM and MAK.
