Essential Ingredients
At least 2 years experience as a Health & Safety Advisor
Experience of managing environmental risks
NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate or equivalentpreferable, or equally working towards your Diploma
Experience working within a manufacturing and distribution in a FMGC environment
The Recipe We have a vacancy for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our Burnley based HSE team.
Safety is our number one priority and as part of the HSE team you will need an engaging approach to coach and influence colleagues across the business to understand their accountability and responsibility for HSE.
Key to the role will also be the ability to work cross-functionally to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels to support the HSE agenda and to implement continuous improvement. With your technical expertise and experience you will also need to provide timely, accurate and business-led advice and guidance to colleagues across Manufacturing and Distribution.
No day is the same as an HSE professional, and the bakery and depots are fast paced. You will need to prioritise your workload which will typically including supporting the business with risk assessments, ensuring investigations establish root cause and that effective corrective actions are put in place, supporting the training team, completing inspections and audits, monitoring performance data and generating reports.
This role will occasionally require travel to our Widnes depot to provide support as needed.
