Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Midwife
2. First level degree in related healthcare discipline or substantial experiential equivalence
3. Evidence of continual professional development
4. Completion of relevant cultural safety training in relation to anti-racism, LGBT+ issues and/or disability issues
Desirable criteria
5. Professional Midwifery Advocate
6. Leadership qualifications and or experience
7. Post-graduate management /leadership qualification or equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
8. Substantial post registration experience
9. Experience of working with a diverse group of women
10. Evidence of multidisciplinary working
11. Good understanding of MBRACE-UK report
12. In-depth understanding of the national maternity safety agenda
13. Up to date and evidence based knowledge of current professional issues related to marginalised women and health inequalities
14. Up to date and evidence based knowledge of current clinical and professional issues
Desirable criteria
15. In-depth understanding of the relevance of cultural awareness, cultural competency and unconscious bias
16. Experience of delivering support and parent education/preparation programmes
17. Experience in proactively engaging service users/Maternity Neonates Voices Partnership (MNVP)

19. Good level of skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
20. Ability to prioritise and manage own workload and that of teams
21. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, report writing and investigation skills

23. Committed to the provision of a high quality safe service for women and their families
