Helix Energy Solutions is an international offshore energy services company providing specialist services to the offshore energy industry with a focus on Well Intervention and Robotics Operations. Helix Well Ops (UK) Ltd (part of the Helix Energy Solutions Group) currently has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Marine Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical integrity, compliance, and continued operational readiness of our offshore asset(s). This role is based at our facility in Dyce, Aberdeen, UK, on a full-time basis 37.5 hours per week, with a certain amount of travel required. Reporting to the Marine Manger, the Marine Technical Superintendent is pivotal to ensuring vessel(s) meet statutory, regulatory, and company standards while supporting safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements across assigned vessel(s). Classification Maintenance: Maintain vessel Class and Flag status and ensure ongoing compliance with classification society and Flag State standards. Budget Management: Management and control of repair and maintenance budgets, including expenditure planning. Planned Maintenance: Monitor vessel(s) planned maintenance system and ensure timely execution of required maintenance activities. Vessel Operations: Conduct regular inspections and asset condition reporting Procurement & Repairs: Budget approval and control of vessel spares and consumables; prepare specifications for maintenance repairs and dry dockings; supervise 3rd party execution and evaluate tenders. Reporting: Provide monthly reports on running costs, budget variances, defects, and major repairs. Experience/Skills required: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Marine Engineer, or equivalent experience in an Offshore / Onshore Technical role. Strong background in dynamic positioned vessels and associated systems. Proven ability in fiscal management, budget control, and cost reporting. Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail. Strong understanding of planned maintenance requirements. Strong background working with Flag States and Classification Societies.
