Job Specification
This role will focus on compliance and statutory reporting for all legal entities within the ECAF region.
Job Scope
* Assisting the Finance Manager in daily finance activities
* Supporting the accounting process for the Company, its branches and subsidiaries in the region
* Assisting with regional month end procedures and reporting
* Actively support the business forecasting process
Key Responsibilities include:
* Statutory reporting process for legal entities in the ECAF region
* Full P&L and Balance Sheets Accountability of the Countries assigned – including all monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables
* Calculating and monitoring cost of sales and gross margins
* Preparing balance sheet reconciliation for entity/entities assigned
* Analysing variance and assistance in variance commentaries
* Providing necessary finance information to operations and other departments
* Investigation of stock transactions and invoicing queries
* Reviewing and analysing Manufacturing work order variances and PPV
* Providing support for the corporation tax return process
* Preparing and processing any necessary journals into the financial system
* Attending stock counts where appropriate
* Assisting with any ad-hoc assignments/analysis as required
Experience / Skills Required:
* Qualified Accountant/Qualified by experience
* Previous knowledge in statutory reporting
* Previous experience working in the accounting operations of a finance team
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Use of ERP systems
