As an Associate Director in ICA Engineering, you will play a vital role in business development and ICA engineering on transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects at home and abroad. We specialise in instrumentation and control/automation across sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. We provide industry‑leading engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, adding value through client‑side support and construction phases.
Your role
* Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, to high quality levels.
* Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
* Manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and programmes.
* Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Set quality assurance standards in design.
* Grow, develop and manage ICA engineering capability within the practice.
About You
* Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.
* Experience owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
* Comprehensive knowledge in ICA design (instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems), motor control centres/switchgear, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practice, functional safety, and development of control specifications (URS/FDS) within process/industrial environment.
* Expert knowledge of current UK design standards, working practices and national guidance.
