Overview
The Estates Hard FM Team is responsible for the day to day repairs, PPM and operational testing for a wide range of building services and equipment located in the Trust. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and flexible Maintenance Electrician to join our multi-Skilled Estates team at Mile End Hospital site, providing operational maintenance services throughout the Trust and its associated properties and sites.
Responsibilities
* Be a keen team member with a recognised building services electrical apprenticeship or equivalent and have post-qualification experience in a complex building services environment.
* Undertake statutory maintenance works as instructed to ensure compliance with current HTMs, Electrical Regulations, ACOPs and Trust policies.
* Undertake duties of a Competent Person (CP) in accordance with the relevant NHS HTM Guidance.
* Maintain and repair electrical generators, refrigeration equipment, electrical distribution systems, air conditioning, air handling plant, etc.
* Capable of working on own initiative to undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance and specialist engineering duties.
* Participate in the Estates emergency on-call rota, including out-of-hours work at all Barts Health Trust sites.
* Be the electrical craftsperson within the in-house electrical maintenance team and liaise with electrical contractors in the day to day running of Estates service delivery within Miles End Hospital and/or Royal London Hospital Retained Estates within Barts Health Estates & Facilities Services.
* Under the direction of the Senior Electrical Craftsperson, Estates Supervisor and/or Estates Manager, ensure all buildings, plant and equipment are electrically serviced and maintained in accordance with statutory & mandatory requirements in a timely manner, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM), minor works, major overhauls and replacements.
