Salary: PAYE: £29.24 per hour | Umbrella: £38.43 per hour
Are you a dedicated Registered Social Worker looking to make a difference in children’s lives? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a skilled Registered Social Worker to join the Early Help and Assessment Team (Front Door Service) in Monmouthshire for a 13-week temporary role, covering long-term sickness absence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, friendly team with a highly approachable manager.
What You’ll Do:
* Conduct high-quality assessments of children, families, and carers, analysing strengths and risks.
* Develop and implement plans to safeguard children and enhance the resilience of their parents/carers.
* Respond to crises and participate in office duty as required.
* Contribute to the development of existing children’s services and help shape future provisions.
* Work a mix of office-based (1-2 days per week at County Hall, Usk), home-based, and community visits across Monmouthshire.
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Care Wales (or equivalent).
* Experience in completing assessments and formulating safeguarding plans.
* Strong analytical and communication skills to work effectively with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
* Ability to work flexibly, including responding to crises and participating in duty rotas.
* A full UK Category B driving licence with business-use insurance, as Monmouthshire is a spread-out county requiring travel for community visits.
* Candidates must live within an easy commuting distance to Usk, NP15 1GA, and be available to start within 2-3 weeks.
Essential Requirements:
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Social Care Wales registration.
* Enhanced DBS check and Criminal Convictions Declaration.
* Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
* 5 years of references/work history.
* Full UK driving licence and car insurance (business use).
* Proof of qualifications (Social Work Degree or equivalent).
