Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry Liaison (20% Golden Hello)
We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry Liaison to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Managing, appraising, and providing clinical supervision to junior medical staff in collaboration with consultant colleagues and the medical director, in accordance with Trust policies.
2. Assessing competencies under the Modernising Medical Careers framework.
3. Ensuring junior medical staff operate within the parameters of the New Deal and comply with the Working Time Directive.
4. Undertaking administrative duties related to patient care.
5. Accurately recording clinical activity and submitting reports to the Information Department promptly.
6. Participating in service and business planning activities at the local and mental health service levels.
7. Engaging in annual appraisals and contributing to the Trust's academic programme, including lectures and seminars.
8. Maintaining professional registration with the General Medical Council and Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval, adhering to professional conduct standards.
9. Participating in yearly job plan reviews with the clinical manager to adapt to service changes.
10. Collaborating with local managers and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery, including contributing to management and financial planning.
11. Providing high-quality, evidence-based senior medical care in acute and rehabilitation settings.
12. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered care.
13. Building therapeutic relationships with patients and carers to support holistic care.
