Ocean Infinity is seeking a Technical Superintendent. Reporting to the Marine Engineering Lead with responsibility for the delivery of shipyard newbuild contracts for the large Armada surface vessels and their permanent payload systems as part of the ongoing programme of Fleet expansion. What will you do: Assist with management and provide technical oversight and expertise during the design, construction, and commissioning into service of the newbuild Armada vessels; Carryout yard design reviews and drawing approvals as part of the vessel newbuilding team; Make regular visits to, and work closely with the onsite supervision team to ensure vessel delivery standards are maintained and delivery deadlines are met; Attend vessel newbuild sea trials and act as owners representative, liaising between Class, Yard, OEMs and Site Supervision Team; Attend FATs for as part of OEM quality assurance process; Assist with developing, controlling and reporting on vessel newbuild budgets and Yard Variation Orders; Work to ensure regulatory compliance with Class and Flag for the newbuild vessels their permanent payload systems and novel technologies; Take responsibility for follow up and close out of Warranty claims coordinating with the Technical Ship Management and Operational Teams; Provide day to day technical support and advice to the vessel Technical Ship Management and Operational Teams; Support in managing relationships with key OEMs. Who you are: Experience as a Marine Engineer, Vessel Manager / Technical Superintendent with proven track record managing Multi-purpose Offshore Vessels; Chief Engineer CoC or equivalent Marine engineering qualification and experience; Sound knowledge of offshore vessel Class and Flag legislation; Experienced in working with large dynamically positioned offshore vessels; Experience with AHC offshore cranes and launch and recovery systems for subsea equipment; Excellent communication skills and fluent in English both written and spoken; Strong technical and electrical engineering skills; Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work; Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment; Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose; Critical thinking and ability to show initiative; Open and receptive to new and different ideas. Desirable: Yard supervision / vessel newbuilding experience desirable; Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks and other CAD software desirable. Salary for this position: Up to £75,000 per annum Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
