Overview
The Security Analyst will be responsible for managing and monitoring the company's security tools and supporting the company's compliance with NIST security controls. The Security Analyst is a key player in defending the company's data, systems, and network from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. This role offers the opportunity to participate in a broad set of compliance and security responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Administer and monitor the company's security-related tools (Vulnerability scanner, WAF, SIEM, MFA, etc.)
* Identify potential risk issues and collaborate with internal teams to execute corrective steps.
* Serve as an escalation point for security incidents and investigations.
* Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive measures.
* Assist in responding to customer security risk questionnaires and audits.
* Support the company's evaluation of security technologies and tools.
* Investigate security breaches and/or incidents.
* Participate in IT security related projects on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other technology-related discipline
* 3-5 years of IT experience in IT security administration
* Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and security-related tools preferred
* Security+ Certification required
* CompTIA CySA+ Preferred
* Ability to work independently and within teams
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
* Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required
* The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and to reason analytically is required
* Problem solving and detail oriented.
