Technical Support Specialist – Fire, CCTV & Alarm Systems
Based in Macclesfield
We are a well-established Fire, CCTV and Intruder Alarm company seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Macclesfield.
The Role
As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide vital support to engineers, customers and internal staff across our fire and security systems. Your role will involve troubleshooting, system configuration, technical advice, and ensuring smooth operation of our installations and maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide remote technical support to engineers and clients on Fire, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
* Assist with system programming, diagnostics, and fault-finding
* Offer technical guidance on equipment and installation methods
* Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for product support
* Maintain accurate records of support calls, solutions, and escalations
* Assist with training of junior engineers and staff when required
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven technical knowledge of Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms
* Previous experience in a technical support, engineering, or helpdesk role within the security industry
* Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
* Full UK Driving Licence (preferred, though not always essential if primarily office-based)
