We are seeking a dynamic Commodity Manager – Non-Metal Categories to lead and execute multi-year sourcing strategies across Chemicals & Resins, Molding, Electronics, Packaging, and Manual Assembly commodities within the EMEA region. This role is crucial to driving supplier quality, cost optimization, delivery, and service excellence for a significant annual spend of approximately $56 million.
The ideal candidate will align strategic sourcing initiatives with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and product management, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and contributing to AD&M’s long-term sustainability and innovation goals.
Your main responsibilities
* Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of acquisition and supply-chain resilience.
* Lead supplier consolidation efforts following the AD&M EMEA Non-Metal consolidation roadmap to leverage preferred suppliers and eliminate underperformers.
* Manage financial and operational KPIs, including cost savings, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery metrics.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives through value engineering, contract management, and proactive supplier engagement.
* Translate business requirements into actionable commodity strategies aligned with AD&M’s footprint and value-chain optimization.
* Ensure supplier compliance with global and regional regulatory requirements (e.g., RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, sustainability standards).
* Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and lead efforts to innovate and improve supply chain processes.
* Serve as the primary escalation point for supply issues, maintaining business continuity and customer satisfaction.
* Foster collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Development teams to support new product introductions.
* Champion global multi-sourcing initiatives to mitigate risk and increase supply flexibility.
* Promote TE values, ensuring ethical compliance and adherence to corporate standards.
Your ideal background
* Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in Operations, with a strong preference for Procurement and Project Management backgrounds.
* Proven expertise in commodity/material market analysis and tracking.
* Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience working in matrix organizations and multicultural environments.
* Demonstrated customer focus and continuous improvement mindset.
* Skilled at building effective relationships at all organizational levels.
* Ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment with critical thinking and sound decision-making.
* Advanced proficiency in SAP.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken); French or other languages are an advantage.
