About the Role
As a Deputy Depot Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our night shift operations, starting at 1 AM with Thursdays and Fridays off. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager, you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of newspapers and magazines to our retailers.

* Supervising Staff: Provide training, coaching, and identify training needs to enhance team performance.
* Reporting: Create accurate reports that highlight challenges and successes.
* Risk Management: Collaborate with the management team to identify potential risks.
* Health & Safety: Maintain a high level of health and safety at all times.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation and company policies.
* Budget Management: Work within an annual set budget and forecast.

About You
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in a warehouse management role. You should be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to manage large operations and liaise effectively at all levels
* Outstanding communication skills to build strong relationships with team members and management
* Experience in planning and executing night operations, addressing challenges as they arise
* Tenacity and a results-driven approach to exceed targets and deliver exceptional client experiences
* Computer literacy, with a strong command of MS Office and IT systems
* Excellent business acumen and strong commercial awareness
