This role supports the delivery of high-quality communications through a range of channels and in line with our Communications strategy.
The Creative Services team is responsible for the delivery of the following content and services for internal and external audiences:
1. Video content
2. Photography
3. Graphic design
4. Internal and external communication campaigns
5. Event support
You will provide a first-class communications service to our colleagues and should be comfortable dealing with senior managers and colleagues at all levels of the organisation. Working in a fast-moving team, the role holder will be able to prioritise and manage competing priorities, while delivering day-to-day tasks.
You will need to be able to work both alone and as part of a team, using their own initiative and adopting a proactive approach to delivering workload.
This is a hybrid role, but the role holder must be flexible to ensure they available for in-person filming, photography and event support as required (This includes any weekday and occasional evenings/weekends for events support).
Key Accountabilities:
6. Deliver engaging and informative communications across a range of channels to connect intended audience and drive understanding through compelling content
7. Support the delivery of face to face and virtual channels through technical support and content creation including events and conferences
8. Apply brand guidelines, communications principles and tone of voice appropriately across all relevant channels
9. Ensure all creative content is appropriate for audience and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly
10. Measure the effectiveness and success of communications activity and challenge and learn lessons from analysis of the data
11. Be an ambassador for communications both in terms of team reputation and support provision / standard of communications produced
12. Use design skills to create communications content for digital and/or print channels
13. Use photography, videography and editing skills to produce engaging content in line with agreed business narrative
Knowledge, skills and experience
14. Solid verbal and written communications skills
15. Experience of dealing with and managing stakeholders at all levels
16. Event technical support experience including face-to-face and virtual
17. Proven experience of working in a communications environment
18. Effective time management skills - ability to work on multiple priorities, manage competing deadlines and deliver projects from initiation to completion with an excellent eye for detail
19. Ability to apply discretion, tact and confidentiality as appropriate
20. Photography skills
21. Videography competence
22. Adept in editing to build a strong narrative and produce effective storytelling and proficient in use of Adobe creative suite (including Premier Pro and After Effects)
23. Design skills, including understanding of graphic design principles and proficient in use of Adobe creative suite (including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
