Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEMH Primary School

Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only (via Teaching Personnel)

We are working in partnership with a Specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Primary School that supports pupils with complex behavioural needs. The school is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible or from September 2025. The role is confirmed termly for the 2025/26 academic year, with the potential to go permanent if it’s the right fit for you and the school.
About the Role:
* Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs
* Managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive way
* Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team
* Using your background in LSA work or sports/coaching to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* Providing consistency, structure, and encouragement to pupils throughout the school day
Requirements:
* Experience working with children – either in education or a sports/coaching environment
* Confident in managing behaviour and working with children who present with challenges
* Must be available full-time (Mon–Fri), term time only
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
* Willing to work through Teaching Personnel for the duration of the next academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
