Contract Support Security Officer – Chiswick Park
Pay range is provided by Unitrust Protection Services. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Core Duties
* Conduct rotational foot patrols around the full site, perimeter, car parks, landscaped gardens, lakeside paths, meeting areas, shops and cafes.
* Screen vehicle and pedestrian entry and exit points, providing directions where required and welcoming people to the park.
* Provide a safe and secure environment for events, sports, and entertainment taking place on the events plaza.
* Conduct regular security and health & safety equipment operability checks such as intruder alarms, defibrillators, first aid kits, fire alarms, intercoms, and security doors.
* Respond to incidents as per SOPs and follow the directions of the Duty Shift Manager, Security Manager, and Deputy Security Manager as required.
* Conduct periodic vehicle, personnel, and site searches when required.
* Project a welcoming, positive attitude to deliver a 5-star security and customer service experience, politely interacting with guests on the park to give directions, answer queries, and refer them to others if unable to answer.
* Think on feet to solve problems during difficult interactions with the public to defuse and upscale conflicts using soft skills, diplomacy, and street smarts to bring security incidents to an amicable resolution and escort people off the park.
* Occasionally assist and support other operations departments in keeping the park highly presentable and smart, such as picking up litter and reporting maintenance if discovered on patrol.
* Maintain a smart and presentable appearance at all times, a high visible presence to deter hostile intent, and high levels of observation skills to spot when things don’t look right.
Skills and Requirements
* Sound technical and IT knowledge to operate patrol scanners, personal radios, body‑worn cameras, and entry/exit gates.
* Must be physically fit and active; required to walk around the park and stand at static posts for 12 hours a day, running for a few minutes if needed.
* Comfortable with crowded areas, interacting with members of the public in a professional business setting.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team to complete daily tasks and responsibilities.
* CCTV licence is a plus – to cover breaks in CCTV control room.
* SIA D.S. licence required.
* Minimum 1 year of security industry experience (or equivalent) required.
Working Arrangements
The role covers staff taking leave or absence in a flexible intermittent manner. This might be single days or nights for temporary absences, up to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern for up to 2 weeks at a time if covering holidays. We ensure a minimum of 8 shifts per month with the option to work more if it fits your schedule.
Flexible part‑time shift pattern working both days and nights, 12‑hour shifts.
