Job Overview
We are seeking a Out of School Club Assistant / Playworker to be a part of our team at one of our Groots Childcare Hubs. This role requires a passion to work with children and the ability to foster a vibrant community and atmosphere within a club that provides a variety of activities. You will be based at one of our Groots Childcare Hubs that have fantastic facilities, outdoor space, woodland areas and designated areas for children to learn, play and engage in a variety of activities. You will support staff one site to deliver exceptional wrap around provision. Hours will range from 15-20 hours Monday to Friday 7:30am-9am and 3pm-6pm (there is potential for day-time work too for the right candidate). During school holidays you would help run one of our fantastic holiday club provision.
Responsibilities
* Provide play-based and educative activities for children aged 3-11.
* Assist with the day to day organisation of the club
* To facilitate, supervise and provide playcare.
Qualifications
* Childcare experience of relevant qualification desirable but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as required by club activities.
