Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hard‑working Energy Prep Operative to join a busy waste processing and recycling environment in the Burton-on-Trent area. This is a hands‑on role working within the Energy Prep area, supporting the management of waste streams, skips, and general site cleanliness to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
🔧 Sorting and preparing waste materials within the Energy Prep area
♻️ Handling general waste, recyclable materials, and skip management
🗑️ Loading and unloading skips, ensuring materials are placed correctly
🚧 Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
🏗️ Supporting site operatives and supervisors with general labouring duties
🛠️ Carrying out basic manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, sweeping, and clearing waste
📦 Assisting with the movement of materials across the site when required
✔️ Following all health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
💼 Previous experience in waste management, recycling, labouring, or industrial work (preferred but not essential)
🚀 Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team
👷♂️ Strong awareness of health & safety
🕒 Reliable, punctual, and happy working early shifts
Hours & Pay
Monday - Friday
6:00am to 2:00pm
