Experience required…
Essential:
8. UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
9. Highway design experience and in the management and delivery of s278 developer funded highway improvement schemes
10. Experience in carrying out technical approval of designs submitted to the local authority by external designers and in checking the design’s compliance with DMRB and industry standards
11. Experience in dealing with the highway adoption process once schemes are completed and the transfer of the asset’s responsibility to the authority is required
12. Good knowledge and understanding of NEC3/4 conditions of contract
13. Thorough understanding of DMRB, TSRGD and MCDHW. Also of Manual for Streets
14. Thorough understanding of the Road Safety Audit, Traffic Management Act and NRSWA processes
15. A full UK driving licence
Desirable:
16. General awareness of planning process
17. Relevant design software such as AutoCAD or Civils 3D
