What does the role involve?
We are seeking Maternity Cover for 8-12 months.
* Achieving high standards of care.
* Leading the care team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
* Maintaining effective communication, both verbal and written, with accurate reporting on residents and informing the senior care team of daily changes.
* Managing wound care.
* Ensuring care procedures are followed according to policy.
* Handling the ordering, administration, and recording of medicines as per policy and statutory requirements.
* Providing personal care such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
* Offering physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort.
* Supervising and appraising staff within the allocated team or unit.
* Implementing routine and procedural changes as agreed with the Manager.
* Assessing prospective residents.
* Completing the duty rota as required.
* Conducting internal quality audits as directed by the Manager.
* Participating in staff training and development.
* Assisting the Manager with budget management, mainly at Deputy Manager level.
