Occupational Therapist
Location
Hillingdon Granges – comprising Yiewsley Grange, Colne Grange, Upton Grange. This role will be predominantly based at Upton Grange, with occasional support for other sites within the Hillingdon Granges.
Salary
Up to £53,200 DOE plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus (payable as two payments of £2,500 after completion of first month and after final probation period).
Hours
37½ hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am–4:30 pm.
Contract
Permanent – 52 weeks.
Role and Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with education teams to deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention for pupils who have experienced developmental trauma, are neurodivergent or have SEMH needs.
* Hold an occupational therapy caseload, with full support of a designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
* Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
* Provide independent, flexible and confident care, while maintaining a person‑centred, empowering approach.
* Adopt the Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and comply with professional and governing bodies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised occupational therapy degree.
* Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration.
* Registered member of RCOT.
* Experience delivering occupational therapy services within an educational setting, preferably with children neurodivergent, learning difficulty and socio‑emotional and mental‑health needs.
* Evidence of transferable skills and sound clinical understanding of OT theory.
* Experience working as part of a multi‑professional team in a similar setting.
* Ability to work independently with flexibility and confidence.
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills.
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferable).
