A renowned leader in residential development is seeking a Project Planner to join their West London project planning division. With over 40 phases planned across the next decade, this role promises a dynamic and engaging work environment, with a focus on a mixed-tenure approach encompassing both affordable and private housing. This role offers a chance to be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Senior Planner in developing and maintaining project schedules using project management tools.
* Update and monitor project timelines, completing progress reports to ensure deadlines are being met.
* Collaborate with the Senior Planner to identify critical path activities.
* Work closely with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
* Assist in preparing project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes
* Help identify potential risks to the project and assist in developing strategies to mitigate these.
* Contribute to risk assessment and management processes to ensure project success.
* Participate in project meetings, providing updates on project status and addressing and issues or concerns.
* Assist in monitoring and ensuring that construction activities comply with quality standards and regulations
* Work with quality assurance teams to address any deviations from project specifications.
* Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and address any issues on-site.
* Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in project planning.
* Utilise project management software for professional development and communication.
Experience required:
* Previous experience working in Planning team across Residential Development projects
* Background in construction (through engineering, surveying, or building etc.)
* Demonstrate some knowledge of all aspects of development; procurement, construction, commissioning, and key features of common forms of contracts in UK
* Experience using Asta and Microsoft Office
* Current Right to Work in the UK
