About the role
As a Waste Consultant Team Leader, you’ll lead from the front - out in the field with your team - coaching in real customer situations, strengthening selling habits, and raising the standard of every customer conversation. You’ll build a strong operating rhythm, use insight to focus effort on the opportunities that matter most, and help your team win new business and grow revenue - while protecting customer satisfaction and retention.
This is a high-impact role within the Commercial Waste Leadership Team, with real scope to shape how we sell and serve across the UK and beyond.
A key part of the role is building our Go-To-Market Blueprint and define what “great” looks like in commercial waste - the standards, operating model and coaching approach that embed consistent, repeatable excellence. You’ll translate best practice into everyday execution, strengthening customer relationships, accelerating new customer growth, and helping us delight customers at every touchpoint.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead from the front in the field - coaching your team in live customer situations and raising the quality of every conversation.
* Run effective huddles, 1:1s and reviews - giving clear, behaviour-focused feedback and developing both new and experienced salespeople.
* Create a winning sales rhythm and pipeline - building structured weekly routines and ensuring well-qualified pipelines with clear next steps.
* Drive performance through insight - using data to spot patterns early, unblock issues, and lead confident performance conversations, including accurate forecasting.
* Plan activity across current and potential customers - optimising prospecting and customer interactions and supporting decisive action from first contact through to close.
* Build strong internal and external relationships - working with customers, branches, and support teams, maintaining accurate CRM updates and contributing to training, meetings and campaigns.
