About the role:
Salary: £16.18 per hour / £38,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday
Start & Finish Times: 04:00am - 14:00pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch break

What will I be doing?
* Managing the Drivers pre-shift and at the start of the shift to ensure they commence their rounds safely and promptly whilst resolving any issues until normal office hours commence.
* Managing and investigating vehicle / personal incidents and any road traffic accidents.
* Investigating and resolving near miss / hazard reports.
* Weekly vehicle inspections / gate checks.
* Responsible for ensuring the downloading of VU and Drivers’ tacho cards and reviewing infringement reports with Drivers.
* Ensuring vehicles are presented for service on time and inspections (inc. LOLER) are completed as per company standards.
* Responsible for driver inductions and training, as well as delivering toolbox talks.
* Complete yearly driving and pre-employment driving assessments.
* Occasional cover for Driver sickness / absence as required (LGV licence is therefore essential).
What are the requirements?
* It is essential to have an LGV (CAT C) Licence and Driver CPC Card.
* Proven experience in HGV instruction, coaching, or assessment
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* Valid First Aid Certificate (training can be provided for the successful candidate).
* IOSH qualification (training can be provided for the successful candidate).
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including basic PC skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
