Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, is a global group that manufactures switchgear and related products for installation in mission-critical and commercial buildings, including data centres and headquarters of major international companies.
Revenue Accountant
As a Revenue Accountant, you will manage and accurately record total revenue, ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, and analyze data related to cash flow, assets, expenses, and sales. You will oversee billing, payment collection, and revenue recognition, collaborating closely with sales, project management, and order-to-cash teams, while leading the development of gross margin reporting.
What a typical day looks like:
1. Accurate Revenue Recording: Ensure all revenue transactions are properly recorded according to accounting principles.
2. Compliance: Maintain adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
3. Revenue Recognition: Recognize revenue at the appropriate times and amounts.
4. Payment Collection: Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices.
5. Data Analysis: Analyze financial data including cash flow, assets, expenses, and sales.
6. Reporting: Prepare and review revenue reports.
7. Collaboration: Work with sales, project management, and other teams for accurate revenue reporting.
8. Variance Investigation: Investigate and account for variances in revenue figures.
9. Financial Statements: Assist in preparing financial statements such as the income statement.
10. Management: Lead a team of two accountants within the existing team.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or studying towards a recognized accounting qualification.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably in manufacturing.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
* Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
* Experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
