Overview
To support the Data Analyst Officer with the design, development and delivery of timely, accurate and actionable strategic and operational business intelligence systems that improves access and availability of business information and data with a focus on automated reporting. Use research, IT and business reengineering skills (including software engineering) to design systems to solve complex problems. This will require handling and manipulating large data sets. To support the Data Analyst Officer to develop the Council’s Business Intelligence architecture and use e-learning methods to develop the Council’s ability to analyse and integrate data sets effectively. Work with teams from across the Council establish more effective and efficient ways to manage data leading to improved decision making and more informed strategies. This role will support the Data Analyst Officer to implement cutting-edge methods for data processing, and analysis, fostering deeper insights and operational efficiencies in order to enhance decision making processes and performance improvement across all services. To keep up to date with statistical sources, methodology and public sector research to anticipate and meet the emerging needs of the Council for statistical research and information. To play a role in the creation and integration of automated business intelligence systems to ensure seamless access and availability of business information, facilitating data driven decision making and performance optimisation.
Responsibilities
* Support the Data Analyst Officer with the design, development and delivery of business intelligence systems focusing on automated reporting and accessible information.
* Design systems to solve complex problems by employing research, IT and business reengineering skills (including software engineering) and by handling large data sets.
* Develop the Council’s Business Intelligence architecture and use e-learning methods to enhance data analysis and integration across datasets.
* Collaborate with teams across the Council to establish more effective and efficient data management, enabling improved decision making and more informed strategies.
* Implement advanced data processing and analysis methods to foster deeper insights and operational efficiencies for better decision making and performance improvement across services.
* Stay current with statistical sources, methodology and public sector research to meet emerging needs for statistical research and information.
* Create and integrate automated BI systems to ensure seamless access to business information and support data-driven decision making and performance optimisation.
Qualifications
* You will be required to provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
