About the Role
As aProduct Assistantat INOV8,you’llplay a vital role in supporting the design, development, and production of our innovative apparel and equipment ranges. Reporting directly to the Head of Apparel,you’llcontribute to deliveringseasonally relevant in-line appareland equipmentcollectionsthat meet high-performance standards while aligning with strategic and sustainability goals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail, a passion for product innovation, and a desire to buildexpertisein technical apparel.
What you'll do
* Research & Insights – Gather market, competitor, and trend data to inform seasonal range planning, product briefs, and innovation with a strong focus on sustainability.
* Design & Development – Support the creation of apparel and equipment collections from concept to final product, including colours, trims, tech packs, BOMs, CADs, and fit specifications. Take ownership of smaller projects, SMUs, and accessories.
* Product Lifecycle Management – Track prototypes and samples, support fittings and performance testing, document adjustments, and manage the sample library to ensure accuracy and availability.
* Supplier & Materials – Liaise with factories and suppliers to manage sampling, approvals, and timelines. Explore new fabrics, trims, and sustainable materials, keeping up with industry innovations.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as a link between design, development, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams, ensuring smooth handovers, accurate communication, and alignment across functions.
* Testing & Quality Assurance – Support product testing for durability, comfort, and performance, troubleshooting issues to deliver on quality, cost, and timelines.
* Sales & Marketing Support – Provide samples, product details, and visual assets for campaigns, presentations, and photography, ensuring the showroom and sales tools are always up to date.
Skills & Experience
* Relevant Fashion,Productor IndustrialDesign qualification to degree level or similar.
* First experienceina similarproduct design, and/ordevelopmentrolewithin an outdoor, sports, or performance apparel/footwear brand.
* Previousretail experience is a plus.
* Proficiencyin Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop);initialexperience withproduct lifecycle management (PLM) toolsisbeneficial.
* Strong passion and interest for outdoor activities and sports.
* Self-motivated personality with a collaborative mindset,excellent attention to details,strong time-management skills, and theability to work within strict deadlines and able to be adaptive to changes.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a creative team.
