Production Operative
An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Production Operatives to join a growing and quality-focused manufacturing team in Ballymena. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in production, construction, or trade-based work such as joinery or general labouring.
Initially offered on a temporary basis, this position provides a strong opportunity to secure a permanent role for the right candidates. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking environment where quality, teamwork, and customer focus are key.
Responsibilities
1. Work as part of a production team to meet daily output targets and quality standards
2. Prepare materials and equipment for production processes
3. Carry out tasks efficiently in line with production plans
4. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
5. Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company guidelines
6. Communicate effectively with team leaders regarding progress and any issues
7. Complete required production documentation accurately
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives
9. Be flexible to work across different areas of the production environment as required
Requirements
10. Previous experience in production, construction, or a trade environment (e.g. joinery, labouring, general construction)
11. Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
12. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
13. Strong work ethic with a flexible and adaptable approach
14. Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills
15. Basic understanding of written and spoken English
16. Full driving licence is advantageous due to location
Desirable (not essential):
17. Experience reading technical or construction drawings
18. Familiarity with hand, air, or power tools
19. Experience in civil engineering or related projects
20. Forklift or overhead crane licence
21. Relevant site certifications (CSR, First Aid, Fire Warden, etc.)
