We are a 36-bedded Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (SRU), divided into East and West Wards, providing specialist care for male and female patients aged 16 and above who require ongoing stroke-specific rehabilitation.
Our multidisciplinary team includes Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians, and Medical Staff, all working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual with previous housekeeping or domestic experience, ideally within NHS Grampian, and a genuine interest in supporting patient care and rehabilitation. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
This post is from Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 13:00.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring patient areas are clean and hygienic, including bed cleaning and room upkeep.
* Ordering and maintaining stock levels of domestic and clinical supplies.
* Assisting with the ordering, preparation, and serving of patient meals.
* Supporting the wider team in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
* Using computer systems confidently to manage stock orders, meal requests, and other service-related tasks
Flexibility to meet the needs of the service is essential, along with a sound understanding of infection prevention and control practices. Applicants must have previous experience working within NHS Grampian.
