We are seeking a dedicated individual to manage a caseload of various levels of complexity related to children and families. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating appropriate actions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. The successful candidate will work in accordance with the Social Care Capability Framework (SCCF) and must complete the ASYE standard within 2 years of qualifying.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of complex and diverse cases involving assessments, reviews, preparation of welfare reports, and court attendance to meet the needs of the client group in line with SCCF standards.
* Establish and nurture close working partnerships with statutory agencies, voluntary and private sector agencies, carers, and those with parental responsibility to ensure positive outcomes for children and their families.
* Maintain accurate and timely records using agreed systems.
* Stay updated on legislation, local policies, and procedures, particularly those related to Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection, and ensure service delivery aligns with these guidelines.
* Attend training courses and development opportunities to comply with HCPC and SCCF requirements.
Requirements
* Qualification in social work or related field
* Experience in managing complex caseloads involving children and families
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
* Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and agencies
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
