We value diverse perspectives and experiences and are striving to create a workplace culture that is inclusive, accepting of all, and free from discrimination and bias.
We have a simple vision and strategy that defines what we are trying to achieve, our purpose, and our approach, which underpin the principles of Adult Social Care. We continue to work in support of this.
All our work, at whatever level, should support the strategy: ‘Providing support, in the least intrusive manner possible, based on the assets, resources, and abilities available to people’.
Our Values
In line with our One Coventry Values, we want to ensure our communities are represented across our workforce. Ensuring we are a truly inclusive organization that encourages diversity in all respects, including diversity of thinking, is vital. We particularly welcome applicants from minority ethnic, LGBT+, disabled, and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents, keeping equity and respect at the heart of everything we do.
* Open and fair: We are fair, open, and transparent.
* Nurture and develop: We help and encourage everyone to be their best and do their best.
* Engage and empower: We talk and listen to others, working together as one.
* Create and innovate: We embrace new ways of working to continuously improve.
* Own and be accountable: We work together to deliver the best services for our residents.
* Value and respect: We put diversity and inclusion at the heart of all we do.
Job Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Case Worker within one of our One Coventry Integrated Teams. These teams are built around localities to coordinate urgent responses tailored to community needs, supporting hospital discharges and providing short-term reablement services.
As no two cases are the same, you’ll enjoy a diverse caseload and have opportunities for personal development. Our teams pride themselves on a supportive environment and continuous professional growth. This is a great time to join us as we advance within the Local Integrated Teams with our health system partners.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS check.
Candidate Profile
We seek someone who is compassionate, resilient under pressure, self-motivated, and a team player. You’ll work face-to-face with clients, collaborating with Social Workers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other practitioners in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Excellent relationship-building skills are essential. You’ll work closely with team members across locations, including hospitals and care providers. Using a strengths-based approach, you’ll make confident decisions regarding rehabilitation, care planning, and promoting independence.
In return, we offer a varied, fulfilling role where you can influence and grow, supported by key stakeholders in a multi-agency setting. We especially welcome applicants from minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community for senior leadership roles, though all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
