Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for an Associate Director – Children & Young People Integrated Commissioning on a 6 months contract with the possibility of further extension.
The postholder will lead a joint children and young people’s commissioning programme that enables to deliver service and system transformation in a number of priority areas.
Main responsibilities:
* Lead and co-ordinate commissioning in all assigned areas as part of the Children and Young People’s Integrated Commissioning Programme
* development of strategy, including commissioning strategies to agree and improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
* ensure appropriate needs assessments are undertaken and that commissioning strategies are evidence based. – pathway redesign.
* development and implementation of relevant service and quality specifications and associated contracting mechanisms.
* development and implementation of performance and outcome measures, and relevant evaluative frameworks.
* children and families and public engagement, working with the communications & engagement team to ensure effective stakeholder engagement in assigned areas of commissioning responsibilities.
* coproduction of service design and service outcomes with children, young people, parents and carers
* Accountable for commissioning budgets including large block contracted spend and individual packages of support, including joint children’s and individual health and care budgets (and personal budgets)
* Accountable for the staffing budget of the Children and Young People Integrated Commissioning team.
* Work with the communications & engagement team to ensure service user, patient and citizen involvement in all aspects of the role.
Requirements
* Educated to masters level with additional in depth professional knowledge in own discipline over a significant period
* Evidence of ongoing professional and personal development
* Management qualification
* Senior management experience of commissioning health and/or social care across settings of care e.g. primary, secondary and community care
* Proven experience of planning, policy and development at senior level
* Experience and knowledge of public and service user involvement to influence service development.
* Proven ability to interpret national and local policies and implement change effectively
