Job Title: Project Engineer
Our client, a leading local engineering company, is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career progression.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop project plans and budgets, ensuring milestones are met.
2. Source suppliers based on bill of materials and engineering specifications; liaise with design engineers for alternatives/variations.
3. Purchase equipment in compliance with budget and company procedures.
4. Distribute documentation and drawings to subcontractors for fabrication or assembly.
5. Visit subcontractors' premises to coordinate and review production.
6. Work with the design team to meet specifications and conduct quality checks before handover.
7. Ensure FAT tests and quality checks are performed, documented, and snags are cleared prior to product shipment.
8. Coordinate site preparation activities, including surveys, haulage, safety documentation, lifting, and commissioning.
9. Plan, schedule, and monitor projects following the document control process.
10. Communicate with clients and project participants to interpret needs and present solutions.
11. Manage contracts, including producing responses to compensation events and notices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Engineering qualification with experience in a related discipline.
* Knowledge of SolidWorks / AutoCAD and project experience.
* Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
* Willingness to travel across the UK.
