Offer description

Join a practice thats shaping the future of primary care.

Bute House Medical Centre is a forward-thinking, lively and highly respected teaching and training practice in the heart of Luton, caring for a diverse and growing population of over 11,000 patients. We are proud of our strong community focus, supportive culture and commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care where it is needed most.

We are looking for two enthusiastic Salaried GPs (4-6 sessions) to join our friendly, multidisciplinary team. Youll work in an innovative environment that embraces new ways of working, including a Total Triage model and AI-supported document processing, helping streamline workflow and free up clinical time for patient care. An interest in teaching, training and/or clinical leadership roles is encouraged. This role offers the opportunity to shape services, grow professionally and work in a practice that genuinely values its people and patients.

Please apply by submitting your CV and a cover letter via email to our Practice Manager at payal.savaliya@nhs.net

For an informal discussion or to arrange a visit, please contact Dr Kunal Kothari at kunal.kothari@nhs.net

Please apply with cover letter and CV

Main duties of the job

You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse population while developing your confidence and skills within a supportive, well-established training practice. Your role will include a balanced mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations, total triage, results handling, correspondence, medication reviews, prescription signing and manageable clinical administration.

You will take part in Total Triage, acting as a Triage Clinician on a rota basis with guidance and support always available. Home visit demand is low, and on-call duties are within core hours only (no out-of-hours work). You will also contribute to the care of patients in a local nursing home, including palliative care, with senior support readily accessible.

Youll work closely with experienced GPs, nurses, HCAs, trainees and the wider PCN and multidisciplinary team in a genuinely open and friendly environment, with easy access to advice and mentoring when needed. Regular clinical meetings, peer support and shared learning are central to how we work, helping you grow professionally and build confidence in your role.

Throughout all aspects of the role, you will maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in line with GMC guidance, ensuring patient care remains your top priority.
