About the Role
Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure works at Devonport Dockyard. This is a long-term opportunity on one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile defence and infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for managing electrical packages across a large, multi-disciplinary project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of electrical packages from planning through to completion.
Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Oversee installation works, testing, commissioning, and compliance.
Review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Ensure all electrical works adhere to project, safety, and regulatory standards.
Monitor progress, track costs, and report on package performance.
Manage subcontractor performance and resolve technical or delivery issues.
Work closely with engineering, planning, and commercial teams.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Electrical Package Manager or similar role within major infrastructure, defence, marine, nuclear, or heavy civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation standards, and commissioning processes.
Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills.
SC clearance desirable (or ability to obtain).
Relevant electrical or engineering qualifications
