Availability Window – Details below indicate preferred weekly availability. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks' notice of shift dates. We support flexibility where your available times closely match the advertised windows.
Pay and hours – Our Skilled Baker rate starts from £13.38 per hour; this increases to £14.59 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It is Tesco policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; options exist to work fewer hours (minimum 12).

Responsibilities
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; providing great natural service.
* Baking in waves for scratch products so customers receive fresh products throughout the day, minimising waste and ensuring yield is adhered to for quality.
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
* Adhering to all food hygiene, safety and allergen guidelines at all times.
* Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within your department and store.
* Putting training into practice so the team works safely, effectively and serves customers brilliantly.
* Proactively checking emergency stop buttons and machinery safety; report next steps to the Shift Leader/Team Manager.
* Disposing of waste responsibly, including following food waste and recycling routines.
* Being knowledgeable about store performance and your part in driving service, sales, waste reduction and profitability.
* Representing Tesco values, making everyone feel welcome and following policies.
* Working across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
