My client is a leading architectural practice made up of 90 staff across 3 offices in the UK. In the last 7 years, they have become a stapled practice in the top 10 architects on the Barbour index. This is a rare opportunity to join a practice with a small but accomplished BIM team to provide guidance and support to project teams in order to utilise Revit in the most effective way.
The practice holds a BSI BIM Design and Construction KitemarkTM and operates a system of standards complying with BS EN ISO 19650.
Your new role
As a Junior BIM Technician, you will be completing daily tasks such as:
1. Developing and maintaining 3D models: Creating accurate 3D models of buildings and infrastructure using BIM software like Autodesk Revit.
2. Producing detailed drawings: Generating detailed drawings and layouts from the BIM models to assist in the design and construction processes.
3. Conducting clash detection: Identifying and resolving conflicts within the BIM models to prevent issues during construction.
4. Providing technical support: Assisting in troubleshooting and providing technical support related to BIM software.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Very good knowledge of Revit.
2. Revit modelling, model management and content creation experience.
3. Knowledge / experience of UK BIM standards such as BS EN ISO 19650.
4. Knowledge of Navisworks / Solibri and clash detection experience.
5. Ideally, experience working in a similar role within practice.
