Hays are supporting a global IT training organisation who are recruiting a new permanent programme manager. The salary is up to £65,000pa + benefits and typically hybrid working (2 days) in Swansea. In the role, you will lead cross-programme delivery, ensuring schedules, resources, and dependencies are aligned. Driveernance, quality, and collaboration across teams while maintaining client and stakeholder engagement.Key responsibilities
1. Programme Delivery &ernance: Maintain an integrated view of plans, dependencies, and priorities; ensure PMO standards for planning, RAID, and change control; produce concise, insight-driven reporting.
2. Financial & Stakeholder Management: Track budgets and forecasts, flag variances, and rmend corrective actions; maintain clearmunication with clients, sponsors, and internal teams; support proposal scoping when required.
3. Methodology & Quality: Rmend and embed tailored delivery frameworks; implementernance, templates, and quality assurance; design and deliver training pathways; coach teams on lessons learned and continuous improvement.
4. People Leadership: Line-manage Service Delivery Leads and Project Coordinators; apply a coaching approach to build capability and accountability; plan resource allocation and signal capacity constraints early.
To be considered for the role, you will need to have worked in a similar Programme level PMO role used to working with external clients and a range of stakeholders. You’ll need experience managing a PMO cross-functional team and promoting best practice aroundernance, risk and delivery.
